Harvesting the Grapes
Carefully select and harvest ripe grapes at their peak ripeness. This step is crucial as the quality of the grapes directly affects the flavor and aroma of the wine.
Crushing and Pressing
Once harvested, the grapes are crushed to release their juice. For white wines, the skins are removed quickly, while for red wines, the skins are left in contact with the juice to impart color and tannins.
Fermentation
The grape juice is transferred to fermentation tanks where yeast is added. This process converts the sugars in the juice into alcohol, creating the base for the wine. The fermentation process can take several days to weeks, depending on the desired style.
Aging and Bottling
After fermentation, the wine is aged in barrels or tanks to develop its flavors. Once ready, the wine is filtered and bottled, ready for you to enjoy!
